  • Vermont Summer Festival Horse Show Welcomed by Local Community – August 15, 2007 –

    Each year, the Vermont Summer Festival Horse Show and its participants are warmly welcomed into the Manchester community. A six-week equestrian show jumping competition, the Vermont Summer Festival Horse Show is held at Harold Beebe Farm on Route 7, just north of Manchester.

Week 5 - Manchester & the Mountains Horse Show

    The Vermont Summer Festival, the largest ‘AA’ rated hunter-jumper horse show held in New England, has a huge economic impact on the state of Vermont with approximately $20 million spent locally on goods and services throughout the duration of the six-week competition.

Week 3 - Manchester Classic Horse Show
  • Holly Orlando Takes Great Pleasure in First Career Grand Prix Victory – July 29, 2007 –

    Riding in her sixth career grand prix, Holly Orlando of Wellington, FL, and Great Pleasure triumphed for her first victory in the $30,000 Otter Creek Grand Prix, sponsored by Devoucoux Saddles, on Sunday, July 29. Orlando was victorious over Steven Weiss and VDL Nuit de Pomme, as well as brothers Charlie and Louis Jacobs.

  • Louis Jacobs and Kachina Win $10,000 Hickey-Freeman/Bobby Jones Open Welcome Stake – July 27, 2007 –

    In only their second week competing in the open jumper division, Louis Jacobs of East Aurora, NY, and Kachina posted their first victory in Friday’s $10,000 Hickey-Freeman/Bobby Jones Open Jumper Welcome Stake, sponsored by Manchester Designer Outlets. The competition was a highlight on the schedule of week three at the Vermont Summer Festival.

  • Hillary Simpson Rides Shane to Victory Week 3 – July 25, 2007 –

    Hillary Simpson of Southern Pines, NC, and Shane were quick and clear to win the $1,000 Level 6 Jumper, Wednesday's featured show jumping competition. Simpson was the ninth of 13 entries to tackle the course set by Canada's David Ballard, the course designer at the 1999 Pan American Games.

Week 2 - Manchester Summer Festival Horse Show
  • Tiffany Cornacchio and Blast Off Take Top Spot in $30,000 Battenkill Grand Prix – July 22, 2007 –

    In Sunday’s $30,000 Battenkill Grand Prix, presented by Hand Motors, 24-year-old Tiffany Cornacchio of Wellington, FL, scored her first career grand prix win with seven-year-old Blast Off, who is owned by Kate Goodman. Hillary Dobbs and Quincy B were just off the pace for second place while Erynn Ballard (CAN) and Gentle R finished third.

    For the adult amateur jumper competitors at the Vermont Summer Festival, the highlight of their week is the $1,500 NAL/WIHS Adult Jumper Classic and, on Saturday, Krystyna Metcalf of Providence, RI, rode Aron to victory. The Vermont Summer Festival is a six-week hunter/jumper competition that runs until August 19 and features the world's top equestrian athletes competing amid the picturesque Green Mountains.

  • Joe Fargis and Diams III Speed to Victory in $10,000 Escada Welcome Stake – July 20, 2007 –

    In Friday’s $10,000 Escada Welcome Stake, Joe Fargis of Middleburg, VA, and Diams III proved that age does not matter in top show jumping competition. The 59-year-old rider and 16-year-old selle francais mare led the victory gallop over 30 other entries. The six-week Vermont Summer Festival hunter/jumper horse show runs until August 19 and features the world’s top equestrian athletes competing amid the picturesque Green Mountains.

    The ‘Manchester Summer Festival’ continued Thursday with action in five rings. The professional hunter divisions were a top draw, and in the First Year Green Working Hunters, Shachine Belle of Farmington, CT, won the championship on Kudos! owned by Amber Henter. The Vermont Summer Festival, a six-week hunter/jumper competition that runs until August 19, features the world's top equestrian athletes competing amid the picturesque Green Mountains.

  • Jimmy Torano Takes Top Prizes in Level 6 and Open Jumper Classes – July 18, 2007 –

    The ‘Manchester Summer Special’, the second of six weeks of equestrian competition at the Vermont Summer Festival, began Wednesday, July 18, with action in five all-weather rings. Despite the inclement weather, classes went smoothly especially in the grand prix ring where Jimmy Torano of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, finished first and second in both the Level 6 Jumper competition and the Open Jumper class.

Week 1 - Vermont Summer Special
  • Kirk Webby and Sitah Score Victory in $30,000 Vermont Summer Special Grand Prix – July 15, 2007 –

    Despite a downpour of rain during his jump-off ride, New Zealander Kirk Webby flew to the finish on Sitah to win the $30,000 Vermont Summer Special Grand Prix during the first week of the Vermont Summer Festival. Canadian Beth Underhill finished second on Magdaline while another New Zealand native, Sharn Wordley, rode Mr. Flanagan to third.

  • Zazou Hoffman Flies to First in $1,500 NAL/WIHS Children's Jumper Classic – July 14, 2007 –

    Thirty-three horses competed in Saturday’s NAL/WIHS Children’s Jumper Classic and 15-year-old Zazou Hoffman of Santa Monica, CA, was the fastest in the jump-off for victory at the Vermont Summer Festival. The six-week hunter/jumper competition runs until August 19 and features the world's top equestrian athletes competing amid the picturesque Green Mountains.

New Zealander Sharn Wordley of Ocala, FL, placed first and second in the Welcome Stake, while Hillary Dobbs finished third.
