Week 3 - Manchester Classic Horse Show

Sarah Gordon Speeds to Adult Amateur Jumper Classic Victory – July 23, 2017 –

Sarah Gordon, 21, won the $2,500 Marshall & Sterling Adult Amateur Jumper Classic to conclude the third week of the Vermont Summer Festival.  From a starting field of 33, three horses advanced to a jump-off set by course designer, Kenny Krome of Westminster, MD.

Jimmy Torano and Armageddon Storm to Victory at Vermont Summer Festival – July 22, 2017 –

Jimmy Torano topped the $30,000 Otter Creek Grand Prix to win every class he entered riding Armageddon during the third week of the Vermont Summer Festival.  Seven horses advanced to the jump-off over a track built by course designer, Kenny Krome of Westminster, MD.

Colin Syquia Claims Victory in $5,000 Hunter Derby during WCHR Week – July 21, 2017 –

Colin Syquia won the $5,000 3'3” NEHJA Hunter Derby, presented by Eastern Hay during World Championship Hunter Rider week at the Vermont Summer Festival.  Amanda Steege of Ocala, FL, piloted two horses into the top 12, finishing second riding Maitre D' and fifth aboard Surreal.

Nicole Coppola-Hug Claims Adirondack-Green Mountain Challenge Trophy – July 19, 2017 –

Week 2 - Manchester Summer Festival Horse Show

Saly Glasman Wins $5,000 Low Junior/Amateur-Owner Classic – July 16, 2017 –
Saly Glassman of Gwynedd Valley, PA, won the $5,000 Low Junior/Amateur-Owner Jumper Classic riding HHS Bay Hill on Sunday to conclude the second week in East Dorset, VT.  Course designer Alan Wade of Ireland built a course for 22 horse-rider combinations.

Matthew Metell Wins Two in a Row at Vermont Summer Festival – July 15, 2017 –

Matthew Metell of Wellington, FL, won his second consecutive grand prix at the six-week Vermont Summer Festival, taking victory in the $30,000 Battenkill Grand Prix.  Lauren Fischer placed second aboard Rissoa d’Ag Bois Margot and took third riding My Pleasure.

Amy Momrow Wins $5,000 Hunter Derby Victory at Vermont Summer Festival – July 14, 2017 –

Amy Momrow of Wellington, FL, won the $5,000 3'3” NEHJA Hunter Derby, presented by Eastern Hay.  Course designer Doug Russell of Ocala, FL, designed the derby track, which saw a starting field of 25 horses with the top 12 returning for a handy round.

TAKE2 Thoroughbred Divisions Thrive at Vermont Summer Festival – July 12, 2017 –

Cynthia McGrath Wins $10,000 High Junior/Amateur-Owner Classic – July 9, 2017 –

Cynthia McGrath and Quinaro won the $10,000 Junior/Amateur-Owner Jumper Classic, presented by Miller & Associates during week 1 of the Vermont Summer Festival.  McGrath produced the fastest round in a four-horse jump-off over tracks set by course designer Paul Jewell of Ewing, NJ.

Matthew Metell won his first-ever grand prix riding Donchalant in the Vermont Summer Special Grand Prix, in the first of six weekly grand prix events held at the Vermont Summer Festival.  He was the only clear round in the 20 horse field in the Paul Jewell-designed course.

David Jennings Wins $10,000 Welcome Stake at Vermont Summer Festival – July 6, 2017 –

David Jennings and Donegue won the $10,000 MDO Welcome Stake during the first week of the Vermont Summer Festival.  He was the only rider to jump double clear in a class that saw six horse-rider combinations advance to the jump-off from the 20-horse starting field.
